Casing, cable management, and code review

Six years of building PCs taught me the review habit that matters: is the airflow clear, is the routing clean, can the next person work on it?

SYS.01 — THE HABIT FROM THE WORKBENCH

Eight years of building PCs taught me the review habit that matters, and it was never about aesthetics: is the airflow clear, is the routing clean, can the next person work on it? A PC that boots is not the same as a PC that can be serviced.

SYS.02 — ROUTING IS REVIEW

Cable management is a code review you can see. Both are about making the next change cheap — nothing strained, nothing crossing where it shouldn’t, nothing hidden behind a panel that has to come off. If a reviewer has to unplug your reasoning to find your logic, the routing failed.

SYS.03 — WHAT I KEPT OUT

No zip-ties so tight the run can’t be changed, no “it works, don’t touch it” as a documented decision. Order is what lets the next person move fast.
